As a family farm we have been in operation since 1984. We have 28 acres of beautiful rolling pasture and a small woodlot and pond bordering the Rocky Run Creek in Solway Township just south and west of Duluth, Minnesota. We have grown fruits and vegetables for market in the past. In recent years we have focused our farm work on raising a small flock of sheep so that we can harvest fleece for handspinners and fiber artists in the spring and market lambs in the fall.
The farm has a long history here in the Munger community. At the start of the 20th century the young Sandberg family moved here, cleared the land and began a small family diary operation. This farm was one of the few in the area that survived the huge Cloquet forest fire of 1914.
